It’s all happening now. Motorola has announced on its Twitter account that the livestream for the July 28th Motorola event will go live at 9am ET – the event is expected to feature the announcement of the Moto X 3rd gen and Moto G 3rd gen; secretly, we’re hoping the new Moto 360 is announced too. Throughout all its teases of the event, Motorola has been referring to a change in relationship status i.e. the relationship between a phone and a person and Motorola contends that a “better mobile relationship is on its way”.
Tune into our livestream on July 28 at 9am ET. New relationship status coming soon. #HelloMoto http://t.co/5CvvcyNWHH pic.twitter.com/I7WSRX4Wbv

Also, we might be reading into their graphic a little too much, but the “O” in the “XOX” looks awfully like a “G” instead, which could be a subtle hint that the new Moto G and Moto X are indeed going to be announced at this event.

Moto Hint gets price slashed down to $80
Motorola is having a bit of a fire sale right now. The Moto X 2014 is down to $299.99, the Moto 360 is down to $149.99, and now Motorola’s Bluetooth ear piece, the Moto Hint, is down to $79.99 from $149.99.
We aren’t sure if this is a sign that Motorola is planning to update all of these products, or if this is just part of a calculated sale to get some extra stock out of the warehouse. Regardless of that, the almost 50% price cut of the Moto Hint is a great deal for anyone looking for a new Bluetooth earpiece.
The Moto Hint was released last year and while you can use it with other devices, this works best when paired with the Moto X 2014. This is due to the fact that you can get all the information the comes through your phone, such as notifications, messages, and of course phone calls, through the Hint ear piece.
The biggest issue that the Moto Hint seems to have is its’ battery life. The Hint touts a battery life of only 3 hours, however the charging cradle will allow for up to two full charges of the Hint. But that doesn’t seem to have really hindered folks from giving the Hint some good reviews.
With the colossal price drop, are you now interested in picking up the Moto Hint? Do you already have one and want to tell us about it? Just drop a comment below and let us know your thoughts.

Motorola hosting event on July 28th, expect it to be filled with new hardware
Motorola just announced they will be hosting an event on July 28th and we can infer that this is when the company will unveil its latest round of hardware. The unveiling will take place in three major cities simultaneously – London, São Paulo, and New York City.
The tagline for the event states “Yes, We’re in a relationship with our phone” and “A better mobile relationship is on its way.” According to recent leaks, we should see the new Moto X flagship and the more affordable Moto G. The company may also release some new low-end handsets and possibly the new Moto 360 smartwatch. Unfortunately, we haven’t heard many rumors about the latter, so Motorola could be waiting even longer to show the world its next smartwatch.

It’s one of the most stylish smartwatches out and the Champagne Gold makes it look even nicer. Regular price is $230 making this a $30 savings. Not a huge deal, but if you were planning on buying one anyways mine as well get it while it’s on sale. One thing to note is this is the 18mm band which is usually for very small wrist or ladies.

Moto 360 gets a price drop to just $150 from Motorola and Google

Motorola and various other retailers have constantly been discounting the Moto 360 to the low price of $150, likely because the second generation model isn’t too far off. In case you’re still interested in picking one up for a discounted price, you’ll be happy to hear that both Motorola and Google have dropped the price of the watch to just $149.99. We’re not exactly sure if this is the watch’s permanent price point from here on out, but if we had to guess, we’d say that it is.
If you choose to go through the Google Store, you can buy the Moto 360 in either Black or Stone Gray color options. If you choose to go through Motorola, however, you’ll be able to customize your watch with different colored bands and cases. Note that the metal bands are slightly more expensive, so keep that in mind before you place your order.

So is the Moto 360 still worth it? Considering that the 2nd generation watch likely isn’t too far off, you might regret this purchase if the new model launches soon. No, it’s not the most powerful smartwatch on the market, but $150 isn’t much to spend on a device that may end up adding a ton of convenience to your everyday life.
Remember, the Moto 360 originally launched for $250 and stayed at that price point for some time. So if you’re in the market for an Android Wear device and would like to save a bit of money, the Moto 360 may be a decent option for you. If you’re interested, be sure to head to the links below for more information.
Moto 360 price drops permanently to $149 through Motorola and the Google Store
Moving forward, the Moto 360 will cost less from two of its sellers. Both Motorola and the Google Store have knocked the starting price of the smartwatch down to $149, a drop of $100 compared to the launch price. This, however, is not just a sale or temporary discount. The price of the Moto 360 through Motorola and the Google Store is permanently $149 to start.
This price drop could indicate that a successor to last year’s model is one the way. Based on Motorola’s current release cycle, the new Moto 360 should arrive in late August or early September. Until then, an Android Wear device at this price is quite the steal.

Moto 360 just $150 through Woot, metal band for $180
With the 2nd gen Moto 360 likely not too far off, we’ve seen Motorola put up its original Android Wear watch for sale more than once at the price of $150. Each time, however, the sale price has only been temporary. If you missed any of the previous sales, Woot is now offering up the watch for the same $150 asking price with a cognac leather band.
While the Moto 360 isn’t the newest Android Wear offering on the market, it is still easily one of the best available and is further enhanced by a recent update to Android 5.1-based software. For those that are more attracted to the metal banded variant, you can get the 23MM natural or dark metal options as well, though the asking price is slightly higher at $180. Considering the Moto 360 normally starts at $250 for the leather version and $300 for the metal, this is a heck of a deal.
For those interested in buying, it’s also worth mentioning you’ll get a 1-year warranty straight from Motorola. So how about it, any takers?
[Deal] Grab a Moto 360 for $149.99 from Woot
Earlier today, Woot kicked off a new deal on all three colorways of the Moto 360. Buying the smartwatch using this promo saves customers a whopping $100; so you now can pick one up for as little as $149.99. However, stock is extremely limited — so if you want to bag yourself one you better act fast.
You’ll find the links for each of the colorways below:

Moto 360 is now receiving Android 5.1.1 OTA
It has been a long time coming, but the Moto 360 is now officially receiving the Android 5.1.1 update. According to a post from Wayne Piekarski, the OTA has started and will continue to hit devices throughout next week. If you don’t get it right away, be patient it will hit your device soon.
Motorola is usually fast at updating their devices to the latest version of Android, but the Moto 360 ran into some issues when trying to update to the latest version of Android Wear. The Moto 360 was having performance issues running Android 5.1.1 due to the Texas Instruments processor not being powerful enough, but they have optimized the software specifically for the device.
One of the biggest additions to Android 5.1.1 is the ability to have your watch connected to WiFi. This allows the ability to be connected without a phone and still receive notifications and connect to the internet. It also brings with it always-on apps, emoji input, media browser, etc. If you would like to view the full addition list, you can view the Android Developer’s blog.
