LG Watch Urbane surfaces on Amazon in India at premium price
The LG Watch Urbane has shown up on the Indian site for Amazon at a sale price of 29,990 rupees ($471 USD), which is considerably higher than what the smartwatch sells for in other parts of the world. In the U.S. the LG Watch Urbane has been listing at around $349 with the different carriers and even the Google Play Store. Possibly even more disturbing for potential Indian buyers is that the normal price is listed as 35,000 rupees ($550 USD).
At this time, LG has not issued an official announcement regarding the availability of the Watch Urbane in India, so the official price could be more in line with other countries and this could be a case of a retailer banking on early access and limited supply to try to charge a premium. The retailer in India is listing both the gold and silver version of the Watch Urbane as available and in stock.

The company has the handset in both leather and non-leather versions; the non-leather version comes in the titanium finish we used in our G4 review, while the leather version is available in both black and brown, with the black exclusive to Carphone Warehouse in the UK.
The G4 lines up for free at £35 per month on a 24 month contract and this pricing puts it cheaper than both the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6, despite the former launching eight months ago. That deal is on Vodafone and gives you 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB 4G data each month along but if you opt for EE, the same deal costs £31.99 per month with a £9.99 upfront charge.
Other deals available include on O2 for £36 per month with a £20 upfront charge, which offers unlimited minutes and texts with 3GB 4G data, and on EE at £36.99 per month with a £40 upfront charge, which comes with unlimited minutes and texts with 5GB 4G data.

Carphone Warehouse is also offering the first 400 customers a free LG P7 Music Flow Bluetooth Speaker worth £129 and the retailer expects to deliver pre-orders by May 28th.
AT&T begins selling the LG Escape 2: curved display, 8MP camera, $180 off-contract

AT&T has quietly begun selling a successor to 2012’s LG Escape, and it’s now available on the carrier for just $180 off-contract. Featuring LG’s iconic design language, the Escape 2 is an affordable alternative to the company’s more high-end handsets.
The device features a 4.7-inch LCD 720p curved display, offering a similar look to what the LG G4 and LG G Flex 2 bring to the table. It also has a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of on-board storage, microSD expansion up to 32GB, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. It also has a 2100mAh battery, a 1MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera. Also present on the device are LG’s signature rear-mounted volume keys and power/standby button.

The device is now available for just $179.99 off-contract, or $0.99 when you sign a two-year agreement. You can also buy the phone with AT&T’s Next plan, starting at just $6 per month. This isn’t the most powerful handset on the market, but considering the sub-$200 price point and decent specifications, you could certainly do much worse. Be sure to head to the source link below if you’d like some more information.

LG G4 coming to Canadian carrier WIND Mobile June 19
WIND Mobile took to Twitter to reveal an official launch date for the LG G4. Canadians will be able to get their hands on LG’s new flagship device on June 19.
WIND did say that they will not be taking pre-orders for the device, so there’s no word on official pricing in Canada yet. However, the #TryLGG4 terms and conditions point at an outright retail price of $699.99, for those looking to get the smartphone off-contract.
In addition to WIND, the LG G4 will also be available at Bell, Rogers, Telus, and Videotron. Unfortunately, the Canadian variant from carriers will only come in two colors–metallic gray in ceramic and black genuine leather (as pictured above).
Are you looking forward to an LG G4 launch or have you already picked up your new device for the year? Let us know in the comments.

AT&T quietly starts offering entry-level LG Escape2
AT&T over the weekend added a new smartphone to its Android lineup, the entry-level LG Escape 2. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop, the phone features a 4.7-inch HD display and an 8-megapixel rear camera.
The Escape2 also offers 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and a front-facing 1-megapixel camera. It’s not a lot of hardware, but it does pack a nice suite of software. Like other LG models of the day, it comes with Knock On, Knock Code, Quick Memo, and QSlide.
The Escape2 display is curved somewhat and the buttons are found on the rear of the phone. In the big scheme of things this might be considered a low-range sibling of the G3 and G4 family.
AT&T is selling the LG Escape2 for $0.99 with a two year service contract. With an all-in price of $179, customers can also purchase on an AT&T Next plan.

LG’s leather-clad G4 flagship goes on sale this week
LG is super-excited about the leather used in making its G4 (judging by the video below), and hopes you are too as it goes on sale this week. We certainly liked the new flagship, especially the screen, f/1.8 camera and battery life, though we found the style on the non-leather model a bit dull. It ticks the spec boxes too, with expandable memory, a 5.5-inch quad HD “quantum” display and a 64-bit Snapdragon 808 six-core CPU. Unfortunately for US denizens, the G4 begins its rollout in Hong Kong, then hits Turkey, Russia and Singapore before arriving stateside. LG still hasn’t confirmed the price, but it’s rumored to be around $600 — about the same as Samsung’s non-curvy Galaxy S6.

LG kicks off G4 global rollout starting this week

Announced at the end of April, the LG G4 will soon be available in the first markets.
LG announced today that 180 carriers and retailers have signed up to sell the G4 around the world, with the first market set to receive it being Hong Kong. The leather-bound device will go on sale there this week, with Turkey, Russia, and Singapore following next.
Eventually, the G4 will be available in “most of Europe, North America, CIS, Southeast Asia, Middle East/Africa and South/Central America.”
LG is yet to reveal an official price for the device, but thanks to the sweepstakes ran by T-Mobile and Sprint in the US, we suspect the G4 will cost about $600 unlocked. That’s a bit lower than the suggested retail price of the Samsung Galaxy S6 or the HTC One M9, for comparison.
More details should be revealed in local announcements coming this month and in June. In the United States, all four big carriers said they would carry the LG G4, though only Sprint gave a timeframe so far: “June.”
“The LG G4 is our most ambitious smartphone yet because it is unlike any other flagship mobile phone on the market today,” said Juno Cho, CEO of LG. While we can’t entirely agree with that, we do like the G4 a lot. Check out our review.

We think we have a winning formula because the initial reaction to the G4 has been tremendously positive.”
Prices and additional purchase details will be announced locally at time of availability, and may vary by carrier and market.
