LG G Pro 3 could have pupil recognition and 4GB RAM

LG is widely tipped to launch its LG G Pro 3 phablet later this year and ahead of the launch, several leaks have revealed the specs of LG’s upcoming flagship big-screen smartphone. Over the weekend, two leaks revealed the specs list of the G Pro 3 along with a feature that will have every tech lover salivating at the mouth.
The G Pro 3 is the successor to last year’s G Pro 2 phablet
If both reports are correct, the LG G Pro 3 will be equipped with a 6-inch display offering 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution (QHD), which works out to be a pixel density of 490 pixels per inch. The handset is expected to be one of a raft of devices powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 820 chipset and should include 4GBR AM, 32GB internal storage and a microSD card slot to expand the storage.
On the back, the LG G Pro 3 is expected to have a 20.7MP rear camera with laser autofocus, dual-LED flash and possibly the color spectrum sensor from the LG G4. Presumably, the handset will also include Optical Image Stabilisation and 4K video recording although this is yet to be confirmed. On the front, the LG G Pro 3 will have an 8MP camera, which should capture outstanding selfies and will be one of the highest on current flagship smartphones.
The G Pro 3 could be inspired by LG’s G4 flagship
The first G Pro 3 rumor suggested that LG would include a fingerprint scanner while the second rumor confirmed the fingerprint scanner before adding that the handset could also support pupil recognition. The addition of pupil recognition would make the G Pro 3 the first smartphone to support iris detection as manufacturers try different methods of providing smartphone security.
If these rumours are correct, the G Pro 3 will represent a significant upgrade over last year’s G Pro 2 with the G Pro 3 expected to have a better display, faster processor, fingerprint sensor, better camera, iris scanner and a lot more. While some manufacturers opt for incremental updates, LG is seemingly set to offer the best features possible in the G Pro 3, which is likely to cost $760 USD once it does launch before the end of the year.

If you thought the LG G4 was lacking a bit for power, then you’ll be happy to hear that it’s bigger brother could be packing lots of it. LG isn’t unfamiliar with the practice of pushing out a larger version of its flagship devices – a la the LG G Pro 2 – so it’s no surprise to hear rumours that the Korean manufacturer is readying a device called the LG G4 Pro that will essentially be a bigger, badder version of the LG G4. Headlining the alleged specifications of the G4 Pro are a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and an impressive 27 MP camera which should put any naysayers firmly to bed.
Other notable specs are a 5.8-inch Quad HD display, a 8MP front camera and is allegedly going to have an all-metal body. If all that has got you salivating, you’ll need to keep hydrating because the device isn’t due out till October – at least, that’s what the report says, and of course that’s after taking this news with a grain of salt. It’s definitely a plausible strategy for LG to engage in, so we’ll have to wait and see if any other LG G4 Pro related rumours drop in the near future.

LG G3 press render leaks in white and black; shows LG’s new flagship, stylus and All [UPDATE]
Talk about LG‘s next rumoured flagship, the LG G3, has intensified greatly in the past week, which has been added to by the announcement by LG that there will be an event held in various global cities on May 27th to announce some kind of “G” device. While it’s possible LG may be announcing its Android Wear powered LG G Watch, odds are the Korean manufacturer will in fact be announcing its next flagship device and in a leak of some supposed LG G3 press render material, we get our best look at the device yet.
While these renders appear to corroborate with previous leaks that the device will indeed retain the rear volume buttons of the LG G2, probably the most notable thing in these press renders is the object embedded in the top of the device. Unless we’re mistaken, that looks awfully like a stylus. This is particularly interesting as LG has neglected to even put a stylus on its 5.9-inch LG G Pro 2, however LG may be trying something new with this device. All we can say is that if that really is a stylus, we’re fascinated to see how they’ve integrated it into the LG G3. UPDATE: We’ve also been informed this could be an TV antenna of the South Korea version of the device.
What do you think about the LG G3 having a stylus? Does this change your mind at all about the device? Let us know what your thoughts are in the comments below.

LG says “Save the Date” for May 27th, is the LG G3 almost Here?
We’ve been hearing a lot more about the rumoured LG flagship that is supposed to succeed the LG G2. Assumed to be called the LG G3, we’ve already gotten a look at what the device might look like and we know that it likely carries over the rear volume buttons that debuted on the LG G2. LG has thrown more fuel on the fire after they sent out invites to a press event on May 27th (or 28th, depending on where you are in the world) for an undisclosed product. Naturally, this begs the question: is the LG G3 almost here?
While the announcement realistically could be for anything that LG manufacturers (TVs and homewares included), the “G” in the word “Great” does look awfully like the “G” in the LG G2 press materials, albeit, slightly more rounded. It does look like a pretty big hint that the product they are announcing will be a G-branded device and the best bet we have is for the LG G3. So far, we can only speculate what specs the device might have, but judging by its closest competitors, a LG G3 would struggle mightily if it didn’t at least have the new Snapdragon 801 processor, and will likely benefit from the OIS+ enhanced camera that was showcased on the LG G Pro 2.
What do you think about a possible launch of the LG G3 in May? Would you consider the device? Let us know your thoughts.

Tip: Add a multitasking button to the LG G Pro 2
The LG G Pro 2 unfortunately has a legacy menu button included on the on-screen navigation keys that you cannot seem to get rid of, but whilst you cannot hide it completely, you can add a dedicated multitasking button alongside it.
LG have enabled the ability to add up to two more buttons and that includes multitasking, QMemo, QSlide, or one that will open up the notification pane.
To add buttons to your G Pro 2, go to Settings>Display>Front touch buttons>Button Combination. From there, you simply drag the buttons into the order you want. You can’t have more than five buttons though, and you’re stuck with the standard back, home, and menu buttons.
There is also an option to change the background colour of the keys which enables you to change it to a black gradient, white, or white gradient, or even transparent if you so wish.
Whilst it would have been great for LG to enable the ability to remove the menu button completely, at least this way you can add a multitasking button to your LG G Pro 2.
