HTC One A9 will be launched with Android 6.0 and Sense 7
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
With the financial troubles front and centre at HTC, all eyes are on the next device that the Taiwanese manufacturer releases. Word on the street is that this device will be announced at an event booked on September 29th, and that device will be the HTC One A9, or as some know it, the Hima or Aero. While we’re expecting all manner of power on the inside of the device, we’ve heard about the software side of things thanks to serial HTC leaker, LlabTooFeR. According to LlabTooFeR, the HTC One A9 will be launched with Android 6.0 and Sense 7, which makes a bit of sense seeing as Google is expected to be announcing its new devices that same day and releasing Android 6.0 Marshmallow into the wild.

http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsWith that in mind, we should probably take this news with a grain of salt – it’s been suggested that the device being announced could also be the HTC Butterfly 3, which holds slightly more water seeing as its only been 6 months since the One M9 was released. Then again, they could be the same device. All the same, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was announced a few weeks early, so I feel like anything could happen at this point.

Deal: HTC selling the 16 GB Nexus 9 for $239.40, 32 GB version only $287.40 (US-only)

Trying to get yourself a brand new Nexus 9 tablet? You are looking to spend $399 to $479… that is, unless you buy it straight from HTC. The Taiwanese manufacturer just went nuts and started selling the Google tablet at amazingly reduced prices. You can now grab the 16 GB version for only $239.40, while the 32 GB iteration will go for $287.40.
Those are some very sweet deals, considering the prices these tablets usually go for. This would be only for the WiFi versions, though. There’s currently no discount on the LTE-enabled pads. Now, do keep in mind there is one significant caveat – the website states “all purchases must be billed and shipped to a valid mailing address in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia only.” Pretty straight forward.

All things considered, the Nexus 9 is a very nifty tablet to have. It managed to get a 9/10 in our review, which places it well above many other competitors. And even though its an aging device, it continues to hold its own pretty well.
The Nexus 9 packs a Tegra K1 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 8.9 2048x1536p display, an 8 MP rear camera, a 1.6 MP front shooter and a 6700 mAh battery. It’s certainly no weakling, and at this price point it happens to be a very good deal too. Just make sure you act fast if you want to jump in on this deal, because we are not sure how long it will stick around. Are any of you signing up?!
Buy the Nexus 9 from HTC’s website!

HTC A9 (Aero) to debut with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, report says
HTC doesn’t yet consider themselves down for the count, there’s more fight left in the company. And with this persistence, we’ve heard about a new “Hero” device coming in the Fall – aka the HTC A9 (Aero). Unfortunately, leakers haven’t been able to scoop up more than a couple tidbits about the device at a time. But as the release nears, the saving grace smartphone should soon come into focus.
The latest details come from LlabTooFeR, the twitter account of a ROM developer. It is claimed that the HTC A9 will be up with the times and launch with Google’s latest version of Android, Marshmallow.
Up to date software is always a great thing to hear. HTC’s Sense UI version will still be at 7 (debuted with the One M9), but it wouldn’t be crazy to expect some software updates/additions.
Past leaks have suggested beastly specs for the HTC A9, with power from a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor. But as HTC often supports Qualcomm, I don’t think it’d be too far-fetched to expect a Snapdragon 820 in some markets, such as the U.S. Also, the A9 is expected to pack a whopping 4GB of RAM.
Are you looking forward to hearing more about this significant release for HTC?

HTC A9 Aero flagship reportedly will feature Marshmallow out of the box

September 29th looks like it is going to be an exciting day for Android fans everywhere. Not only do we expect two new Nexus devices on the 29th, but recently HTC also announced its own press event for Japan. While it isn’t completely known what HTC will bring to the table, rumors suggest we may see a new flagship-class product known as the HTC A9 or, in some circles, the Aero.
That to the rumor mill, we already have a fairly solid picture of what to expect from the Aero, but now a new tweet from LlabTooFeR reveals one more juicy detail: the phone will allegedly run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
If true, that’s pretty impressive, considering the phone is expected to be announced the same day as the new Nexus phones, which will be the first two devices on the market running Marshmallow out of the box. Of course, HTC may not actually ship the phone to consumers until weeks or even months after the 29th, but that’s still pretty ambitious timing.
Alleged images of the A9 Aero.
What else can we expect from the HTC Aero? As a recap, is said to pack a fairly high-end specs including a Mediatek deca-core Helio X20 Soc. MediaTek might not be the first name you think of when it comes to high-end, but don’t let this fool you, this particular chip offers tons of power under the hood. Other specs include a 5.2-inch QHD display, 4GB RAM, and a 3500 mAh battery. Design wise, the HTC A9 Aero will reportedly look a lot like the latest iPhone, though we really can’t confirm the validity of these images just yet.
What do you think, excited for a new HTC flagship? Does the presence of a MediaTek chip turn you off or are you willing to give the chip a chance? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
Upcoming HTC One A9 (Aero) could run Android 6.0 Marshmallow at launch
It was only a few days ago that the upcoming HTC flagship rumoured to be called the One A9 was spotted on GeekBench, posting higher numbers than even Samsung’s lightning quick Exynos 7420. Today, new information has appeared courtesy of Twitter user, @LlabTooFer.

As you can see, the tweet tells us that the HTC One A9 will be running Sense 7 GP, the latest version of HTC’s custom overlay. While, that, in itself, is to be expected, of more interesting news is that the HTC One A9 will purportedly run the latest version of the Android operating system when unveiled. That’s right, apparently the One A9 will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow at launch.
There’s going to be a ton more rumours and leaks between now and the launch of HTC’s new flagship, but hopefully this is one leak that is proven to be correct. With its current bout of financial woes. HTC could really do with nailing the launch of its next flagship.
