These should be your new icon packs.
For those of you that do not change your icon packs as often as I do you may not be familiar with icon designer Stealthychief. He has quite the icon portfolio under his belt with designs that range from colorful and comical to modern and sleek. Ovo and Devo are his latest work and they definitely keep up with his other work in terms of quality and aesthetics by offering a nice clean circular design with sharp colored borders. The two icon packs do not differ in overall design with the only real difference being the fact that Ovo is skinned in a light theme and Devo in a darker one.
Ovo and Devo are sure to fit any homescreen configuration with over 2000 HD icons and various wallpapers that are included in the app. You can test out the apps by using the widgets below and if you decide that they are not the right icons for you make sure to browse through Stealthychiefs other icons packs where you will surely find something that will look good with your new wallpaper.

Aww! Google’s new Android ad has puppies, baby elephants, and dolphins, oh my!
Be together. Not the same. That’s the motto Google picked up for Lollipop, and it couldn’t be any better. It even works in the animal world. Just try to watch this Android ad without cracking a smile. I dare you!
Google releases ‘Best Friends Furever’ video to promote Android’s togetherness
“Be together. Not the same.” That is the tagline Google has been running since the launch of Android 5.0 Lollipop. It embodies everything that the operating system is about while speaking on a bigger level. Devices (and people) do not have to be identical in order to work together. Everything and everyone has something unique to offer. The latest way Google is promoting the togetherness of Android is with animals. A new 60-second video was published and circulates through various scenes of different animals bonding: a cat and dog opening a door together, a bear and a tiger snuggling together, an elephant and a sheep digging together. Do you get it? Animals are working together with ease, something that humans have not yet mastered.

Google Glass’ new boss wants to redesign the headset ‘from scratch’
If you suspected that Google Glass’ change of leadership would also lead to a big change in the wearable technology itself, you made a pretty good guess. As part of a tell-all about Glass’ troubles, the New York Times is claiming that project lead (and Nest CEO) Tony Fadell plans to redesign the head-mounted computer “from scratch.” And unlike the original, you aren’t likely to see any public beta testing — in keeping with earlier pronouncements, one tipster says that Fadell won’t release this next-gen device “until it’s perfect.” Just when that might happen is still up in the air, but the Nest exec’s historical focus on shipping over experimentation hints that you won’t have to wait years to try Glass 2 for yourself.

Microsoft reportedly buys social calendar app Sunrise
If you’re an Android, iOS or Mac user who doesn’t like the stock calendar app on your platform, you’ve probably tried (or at least heard of) Sunrise, whose socially-savvy software often fills in the feature gaps. And apparently, Microsoft has tried it too — both TechCrunch and Recode claim that the Windows maker is buying Sunrise. While the reasons for the reported acquisition remain a bit opaque, our TC colleagues say that the Redmond crew will preserve Sunrise’s existing apps while folding some of their features into Microsoft products. Neither Microsoft nor Sunrise has commented on the claim so far. However, it’s pretty easy to imagine both Windows and Outlook getting upgraded calendars that will keep you from scrounging for alternatives.

Soccer Player Manager Android app Review
Being from the UK, I’m a big fan of soccer (or football as we call it), which means I have a particular liking for soccer manager simulation games and I was recently given the opportunity to review Soccer Player Manager by MobTwo.
Soccer Player Manager is your typical soccer management simulation type game, with the developer comparing akin to the popular Championship Manager type of games you’re probably familiar with. What sets this app apart is that you can play as the manager or as a player manager (of which the mode is coming soon).
With that said, Soccer Player Manager is in Beta, so certain features (like the player manager mode) is not yet active, but it does give a good indication of where the app is heading.
All the features you’d expect to find in a soccer management app are there – you can arrange your squad, transfer players in and out, manage finances, sign up sponsors, and assign team training. The game is fast-paced as well, with 3 league matches per day to give 19 matches total; 1 week is equal to 1 league season.
The graphics of Soccer Player Manager are very basic, but the underlying mechanics of the game are there. With some refinement to the graphics and presentation of some of the features, Soccer Player Manager stands a real chance of becoming a go-to app for soccer management simulation.
The app is supported by in-app purchases which can be used to refill your energy that gets depleted when playing games, but otherwise the app is easily free to play.
With that said, the game is still in development and is clearly in Beta; I was constantly reminded of this in the app with timeout errors and, as mentioned, features being unavailable. Soccer Player Manager is a good start, but definitely needs some work.

OUYA confirms further moves into China with Alibaba deal
Is Chinese giant Alibaba investing $10 million into California-based game console maker OUYA? That report remains unconfirmed, but OUYA did confirm this morning that Alibaba is getting the OUYA game library on its YunOS platform. Sorry, the what platform? It’s essentially a version of Android that was created by Alibaba, intended to compete with Android in China. So does that mean OUYA is heading to smartphones in China? Not quite.
OUYA says its game service will arrive on Alibaba’s Tmall set-top box, which apparently already has streaming options for more robust games (the press release calls out soccer game Winning Eleven 2014 and fighting game Street Fighter 4). As far as control is concerned, there’s no mention of OUYA shipping its gamepad to China — we’ve asked OUYA reps for more info.
Regardless, how does this impact you? Well, if you don’t live in China, it doesn’t impact you too much — OUYA continues to exist as a platform in North America despite its multiple pushes into China. As far as how OUYA approaches its original North American audience in the future, CEO Julie Uhrman has a quote in the press release that’s telling of long-term plans: “Markets, like China, without the baggage of the US console market, could be the game console leaders in ten years. That’s where OUYA wants to be.”
More bluntly, that’s where OUYA needs to be — the company’s plans to disrupt console gaming in the US faltered after early reviews panned the console and its gamepad. There was even a hardware revision between Kickstarter backers receiving their console and its eventual retail release months later. In so many words, we don’t expect this is the last time we’ll be writing news of OUYA moving into developing markets and out of the shark pond that is North American game console sales.
