Huawei taking applications for Android 5.1 beta test on the Honor 6 in Europe
Huawei seems to be offering a similar program to Motorola’s soak test registration. One hundred customers registered in Huawei’s Honor Club will get to take Android 5.1 for a spin on the Huawei Honor 6 in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Keep in mind that it’s only a beta test, so its bound to be ridden with bugs. Huawei is hoping participants that join the beta test will pro-actively give the Chinese-based company feedback on the firmware update. Interested? Here’s how you can sign up:
“Make sure to send us an email with the subject ”Beta Test Honor 6″, your IMEI number and a short statement why you are the appropriate person for the test to myhonor@hihonor.com. The first 100 applications that convinced us most will be notified by us next week. The application phase will be closed on 30.06 – so hurry up and sign in today!”
After the June 30 closing date, Huawei should begin rolling out the beta test to European customers during the summer. Anyone signing up to get in on the pre-release software?
