Monument Valley launched in 2014 and barely anyone expected the game to be so popular. Shortly after its launch, the game quickly achieved success both critically and commercially. It was enough for developer ustwo to invest in downloadable content following its initial release. Last year, Monument Valley players saw Ida’s Dream arrive as a level pack to benefit Product Red, a division of the ONE Campaign, and its fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa. The only problem with Ida’s Dream, covered in red for the charity, was that ustwo never made it available for anyone outside of iOS.

That changes this week.

On June 25, ustwo will release Ida’s Dream at no cost for everyone. The exclusive red-colored theme will be absent, though, and remain with those who purchased the level pack initially. Neil McFarland, ustwo’s Director of Games, told TechCrunch that people from any mobile platform should be able to experience what Monument Valley and Ida’s Dream have to offer:

“This is content that people haven’t been able to get, or just missed out on, and it’s really good that we’re completing it now for hte majority of players. Now everyone is going to hvae access to the entire chapter library of the game which we’re really excited about.”

The game, upon Ida’s Dream reaching everyone on Thursday, will likely be finished when it comes to receiving any additional downloadable content. McFarland says that the studio is looking at new games and experiences. Among them is Land’s End, a title coming later this year that takes advantage of virtual reality’s immersive environments. It is seemingly the right time for ustwo to make its next move because Monument Valley has enjoyed millions of downloads translating to around $10 million in revenue.
