After a bevy of rumors, Samsung has introduced a new budget-friendly tablet in Taiwan, dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Tab E.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab E (SM-T560) is by all means a low-end tablet. It features a 9.6-inch 1280 x 800 9.6-inch TFT display. Powering everything under the hood is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery and is running Android 4.4 KitKat.

The device will be hitting brick-and-mortar outlets by the end of June, and will sell for as low as $225.

Samsung hasn’t revealed any details concerning availability in other markets. It’s certainly a device for a developing market, so the most expansion we’ll probably see is in a handful of countries in Asia.
