Sprint Prepaid adds Monthly Rolling Data option

by John_A

Limited time promotion is exclusive to Best Buy

Sprint Prepaid is the latest wireless provider to let users accrue unused data. Today sees the introduction of Monthly Rolling Data, an option that allows for customers to bank up to 30GB of data.

Available immediately, this is a limited time deal that is exclusively offered through Best Buy. All Sprint Prepaid plans ($35 and up) are eligible to start setting aside unused data for use at a later date.

Compared to AT&T (GoPhone) and T-Mobile, the Sprint Prepaid feature comes out ahead, at least on the surface. T-Mobile requires customers to choose a plan of 3GB or higher for its Data Stash and only includes a twelve month expiration on data.

AT&T, for its part, only lets subscribers roll unused data for a 30 day period; Rollover Data is only offered on GoPhone plans of $45 and $60.

It’s not clear how long Sprint plans to offer the Monthly Rolling Data feature so our advice is to jump on it quickly. Remember, you have to to through Best Buy, though.
